Bloody Mary

This week’s drink of the week is the Bloody Mary. This is personally one of my favorites. What I especially love about this drink is that you can just keep adding things to it.

For those that don’t like Tomato, this drink probably won’t be for you. Also, it usually has a bit of a bite to it which some might not be ready for. You can make it mild but really what is the fun in that?

Recipe

  • Ice
  • 1 Shot Vodka
  • 2 Shots Tomato Juice
  • Lemon Juice – Half a shot or so
  • 2 Shakes Worcestershire Sauce
  • A Couple Drops Tabasco Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste
  • Celery Stalk
  • Green Olives
  • Pickle Spear
  • Sausage Stick - Preferably Hot
  • Pickled Asparagus
Grab a glass. Fill it with ice. In a separate container, a shaker works great, mix together the Vodka, Tomato Juice, Lemon Juice, and Worcestershire Sauce, Tabasco Sauce, and the Salt and Pepper. Pour into glass full of ice. Add the celery stalk, green olives, pickle spear, sausage stick, and pickled asparagus.
This drink is often served with a small glass of beer. I personally prefer the High Life but to each their own.
The last ingredients I added, the solids, can be changed out or taken away or added to. I have seen Bloody Marys with pickled green beans, jerky, shrimp, and I am sure others that I am forgetting. Make it your own!
